Information Center
Buffalo Run Tipi Village is in the process of building an information center that will be state of the art. Interactive kiosks will present a wide range of materials used to educate both non-Indian and Indians visitors alike. The information center will also feature local artists and handcrafters in residence on a regular basis, thus offering visitors a chance to see Lakota artisans at work.The interactive kiosks will provide information on historical sites, cultural events and other attractions across the Cheyenne River reservation.
As a tourist attraction, BRTV's goal is
to provide jobs for local people, summer
employment for the youth of Cheyenne River and
stimulate the ecomony of the reservation.
Guests staying at BRTV will be taken on tours of
the reservation to see historical sites and visit other
culturally relevant places. BRTV is located near
beautiful Lake Oahe, offering guests opportunities to fish,
boat, swim and enjoy the scenic wonders of the area. Trail
rides and nature walks will be offered for those who
wish to leave the beaten path and get into the heart of Lakota
country to experience the abundant flora and fauna of the reservation.
