Buffalo Run Tipi Village seeks to instill and maintain pride among our people by operating a productive and responsive program. We seek to educate both the Indian and non-Indian communities as to the unique historical importance of the buffalo to the Lakota Nation and to build a program that will help ensure the economic self-sufficiency of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe

Buffalo Tipi Village (BRTV) is owned an operated by Leslie & Debbie Ducheneaux members of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Leslie is a cultural and traditional leader of the tribe and Debbie is a Lakota Language and Culture teacher at Tiospaye Topa School located on the reservation. Buffalo Run Tipi Village is comprised of two primary components: a Tipi Village and a Cultural Camp. The purpose of the Tipi Village is to promote economic development on the reservation by capitalizing on tourism. Through the Cultural Camp (BRTV) seeks to begin to address the socio-ecomonic problems of the reservation by reconnecting Lakota People to their rich heritage and culture.
